Key Inflation Gauge , Rose 0.5% in September.
The Federal Reserve's attempts to curb inflation are hardly making a dent.
On Oct. 28, the Bureau of Economic Analysis
reported that the core personal consumption
expenditures price index (PCE) rose 0.5% in September.
It also increased 5.1% over the past year.
The acceleration was in line with predictions. .

Five interest rate hikes have already
been implemented this year.
'Forbes' reports that the Sept. 21 hike put
the federal funds rate at 3% to 3.25%.
The Federal Reserve is scheduled to meet again on Nov. 2 to discuss another interest rate hike.
